Hello friends! It has been a rip roaring couple of weeks for the Gourmet Girls! Gourmet Girl Denise was at PORCH in Carpinteria, California, a delightful store specializing in unique gifts and housewares, indoor and outdoor furnishings, beautiful plants and much, much more. This month they held a “Glamping and Stamping” event in their beautiful back patio area, where Denise served up tastes of our wonderful Grilled Peach, Prosciutto and Arugula salad with Heirloom Tomato dressing and our Cast Iron Ratatouille.
The crowd enjoyed their delectable bites then moved on to a wood block printing class. Afterwards we all gathered around a bonfire and roasted marshmallows for some of the best s’mores we have ever had. Here’s a photo of the s’mores table.
And what a month it has been for the Gourmet Gals in print! Our foodie friend and author Rosmina Brown wrote a great article about us for Edible Santa Barbara, and we were also featured in the Santa Barbara Independent. The word is out and folks are becoming inspired to try our recipes on their next camping trip. But remember! You can make all of the recipes in the book in your kitchen or on your BBQ in your back yard. So no more excuses and no more beans and weenies!
