Dear Friends and Followers,
Gourmet Girl Gail here. I trust you’re having a good month. Frankly, I’m feeling a little lost without Executive Chef Denise in town, but I imagine she’s having fun getting settled in the Loire Valley and will be in touch soon. Before she left, she did mention that the place she was hanging her hat for a while was in the middle of nowhere, so maybe she’s off the grid for a bit. I’ll be sure to keep you posted.
In the meantime, I’ll carry on as best I can and trust you won’t forsake us! Now that the camping season is winding down for much of the country (with the kids back to school and all), I thought I’d prevail upon those of you who purchased our cookbook to consider giving it an honest review on Amazon. I realize this may seem like a blatant marketing ploy (and it is!), but the truth is that social proof is a must for bringing attention to our cookbook and making further sales. As a Book Sherpa who tries to keep up with the ever changing publishing environment, studies have shown this to be true for all authors and their books. That said, I’ll make it easy for you if you wish to post an honest review on Amazon.
Go to http://amzn.to/2jH6G9s. Scroll down to the “Customer Review” section and click on the “Write a Customer Review” button. Click on the stars and you will see a text box in which to enter your honest review. You can write as much or as little as you like.
We thank you in advance! Our hearts are filled with gratitude for all of the support you’ve given us over the summer at our events and signings.
Next week, I’ll be adventuring with the Sisters on the Fly up in Apple Hill, California, and plan to get in a river rafting trip. I’ll update you on that when I return, hopefully in one piece!
Fall camping is a must in our book, and I look forward to experiencing it with the SOTF. A look into the future weather up there says the temperature will be in the 80s. Yay!
Till next time!
Happy Trails!
Gail, Denise & Lindsey
